Today it was raining heavily. I can't play outside, but daddy & mummy keep me busy.

Daddy shot a spider crawled in our window. Then he used it as the header of his company website.

Watch Transformers Movie

Mummy and daddy brought me to watch Transformers the movie. It was quite frightening at the beginning. Loud music and it was so dark.

But end up, it was so fun! Because Mummy bought me a box of pop corn. I can't stop eating it!

I only stop to drink my water. Hehehehe ...

I didn't really understand the movie, but my Dad said, overall was very dull. He said, he can't concentrate on the movie at all. He's wasting his time try to catch me in the cinema. Hehehee ... I was so adventurous. I even crawl like army to avoid being catch by my Dad.

Unfortunate it was raining when we reaching Sentosa Island. So, there were so many activities planned was canceled. So we only wander around the station and any place which nearby the covered pathway.

And the park also offers a variety of nice landscape ...

The flower also beautiful ...

But I can't stay any longer. It is so structured and neat ... and I'm bored of this. Can I go back and sleep? ... Muaaaahh ...

Singapore Trip - Sentosa island : VivoCity

We used a different route for this trip to Sentosa Island. There are new monorel station located in new shopping complex called VivoCity. The place is huge and lot of brand new concept store. The tiles were blinking as if there were a star.

The monorel ticket cost us S$3. While waiting for mummy to buy the ticket, I ran here and there ... happily coz I don't need to pay for it.

There is also an outdoor area which is facing Sentosa Island. I found a red cow and it is like the cow located at the Curve next to Ikea.

The monorel schedule every 5 minutes and currently there are 4 stations operate on the island. The ticket is disposable and not refundable like the MRT ticket.

The size is almost the same as the monorel in KL.

During our window shopping trip around Arab Street, we met Anthony Bourdain, a famous celebrity Chef featured in 'Travel and Living' channel. His program 'No Reservation" airs around the world.

My mum took this picture and it is good. When my dad took turn to take the picture, the outcome was terrible. So I cannot share that picture.

Singapore Trip - Masjid Sultan

There are a number of old Masjid in Singapore. One of it is Masjid Sultan. There are famous murtabak maker just a cross the street next to the Masjid.

A row of restaurant which sells Indian food offered a variety of Murtabak. You better have it there, because it is great to taste it when the food still hot.

My grandma really wanted to visit Arab Street since a few week back it was aired in Nona TV3. The place looked great in TV but in my opinion it cannot be compared with Jalan Masjid India.

Yes it is true the street is cleaner as compared to Jalan Masjid India but the shop in Masjid India gave more choice and offer more attractive price, value for money.

My grandma told me, when my mum still small, people from Melaka used to come to Singapore regularly and shop till drop because the Singapore currency is very low. Around 80 cent per RM1. But now, their currency is more than double than us.

But westerner love to come to Singapore because they don't feel homesick. Because Singapore just another modern city. Good transportation facilities and easy to communicate.

Other fun thing when you were abroad is to taste the local food ....

Singapore Trip - Nek Cik Saadiah

She is the main reason we visited Singapore. My grandma wanted to visit her, ever since her major operation last year. She got a diabetes and her right leg was removed due to infection. Her last operation also quite a major operation which involved removing liquid in her head, which also cost her nose bone to be removed.

Thanks God, she's getting improved as compared to a few months back. And when I was there, she keep teasing me with a joke and laughter. Very humble and joyful lady.

Singapore Trip - Rain

Right after we entered Moyang Usop's house, the rain poured heavily. And all of our planned for that afternoon also washed out by the rain.

I just can look out through the window and see the rain drops. I realized that Singaporian who lived in this 'pigeon hole' have a very limited space to hang their wet cloth. Most of the flat was developed by HDP and have a hole under their kitchen window so they can put a long stick to hang their cloth.

We arrived at Chai Chee around 12.00 noon and it is quite tiring. We crossed over the causeway via bus and took a taxi from Rochor Road to get here.

It is typical view of a housing estate in Singapore. My mum said, the people here stays in the 'pigeon hole'. I didn't really understand what was the meaning of that phrase, but I'm busying myself chasing the pigeon downstairs.

A Chinesse man passed through a licensed public writer in front of Johor Baharu's Immigration Office. I waited a few minute just wanted to see what is his role as a license public writer's job. His clients normally is a general worker or elderly who cannot filled in the embarkation card to entry to Singapore. Very different with current writer, who is online, not license and no charged ... we call it a blogger!

The bus fare was increased! My mum was so suprised. Previously, the fare is just RM2.00 but now it is RM8.00. But the bus is nice and comfortable. The seat furnished with leather and the air cond was in the good condition.

Everybody slept on the bus from Senai to City Lounge. And as usual, I wanted to struggle from my mum's arm and explore the bus. But my mum, kept me tight.

I saw a big green truck and was very excited. It was an army truck, parked illegally in front of the arrival hall. And as usual, I'm admiring it tyres. And due to that, we all missed the bus heading to City Lounge, a bus terminal to Singapore. But lucky the lady in charge called the bus driver to make a U turn and fetched us. Sorry everybody!

Singapore Trip - LCCT to Senai

Over the weekend last week, I had an opportunity to visit my mum's untie. She asked me to call her, Nek Cik. Anyway, let talk about my journey, and I'll talk about Nek Su later.

Our flight from LCCT was at 7.55am, so everybody performed their Subuh pray in the airport. We came by two cars, since Nenek and Mak Teh's friend untie Halimah also follow. So it is 6 of us. Pak Uda and Pak Tam sent us.

I'm glad that the flight which we ride was the plane which featured Manchester United FC players on it. Nenek also didn't want to miss the opportunity to take a picture in front of the plane. My be she wanted to show to Atuk this picture. My Grandpa was an active footballer and he still involves with it till now. He is currently a referee registered with Melaka Football Association.

Penang Trip - Nasi Kandar

One thing that Penang can offer better than other state in Malaysia ... It is food. You can try different kind of food from the different ethnic in Malaysia. You can taste rojak, cendol and nasi kandar made by Indian ethnic. Yong Tau Fu, Dim Sum and Kue Teaw made by Chinese ethnic and of course Ais Campur, Nasi Lemak and variety of kueh made by Malay ethnic.

Among the famous spot to satisfy your tongue are Batu Feringgi, Padang Kota, Gelugor, Bukit Gedung, etc. The picture below was taken in front of famous Sharif Nasi Kandar at Gelugor.

Penang Trip - Botanical Garden

Another popular tourist spot in Penang is Botanical Garden. The park is so green and there are a small river with a cold water. Watch out, a lot of monkey, and can attack you if they thing you brought a food and not share it with them. Better left your bag in the car.

If you ever visit Penang, you must go to Penang Hill or known by local as Bukit Bendera (Flag Hill). The place is quite beautiful and a bit cold. To know more about the Penang Hill, please visit Penang Tourism Board here. You can get more info on it's history, how to get there, etc.

After a quite long waiting for the luggage my dad line up for an airport taxi. This is the last public transport I used.

The taxi fare is quite expensive, it make my daddy asked the taxi drier about it. And we found out that taxi in Penang never use a Natural Gas to fuel their taxi. That's why the price was very different from KL.

Next, I used Air Asia flight, the low cost carrier famous in this region. It cost us RM250 for two ways for both of us including airport tax. Very cheap right?

This is my first time I traveled using using public transport and only with my Dad. And a lot of people are curious about this ... the bus driver, the police man, the ticket bus attendance, the stewardess, the taxi driver, the McDonald waitress, the hotel bell boy ... all of them asked "Where is his mother? I look at my Dad and he's getting bored and he look like he's going to put a cardboard and put a word "His mother is working" and hang it on my neck.

Only when the stewardess said to me, "Oh ... so lucky you have such a good father that so good of taking care of you. 'Bapa Mithali'". 'Bapa Mithali mean a real good super Dad. My Dad's face changed, and I can see he's smiling like a Barney. A big smile.

From KLIA I took a bus to Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). The bus depart from the next building where the ERL train arrived. The journey took about 15 minute and cost us RM1.50. In the bus I slept until arrived.

I still sleeping when my Daddy registered to get the boarding pass. I think I was so tired playing with my stroller at the Putrajaya train station.

Penang Trip - Transportation 1

I traveled to Penang with my Daddy using a few public transport. My mom was working and she will meet us in the hotel next day.

First, I used ERL Transit train from Putrajaya to KLIA. While waiting for the train to come, I played with my stroller ....

Daddy said, it is quite dangerous, but I said, it is ok as long as not beyond the yellow line.

Most of toddler like me hate to sit in the car seat. I'll struggle as harder as I can to come out from that seat. But most of the time I'll let my mum win the battle. I like to seat in this new 'forward-facing' car seat as compare to the old one, which is 'backward-facing'.

Mummy bought the car seat from Mother Care as my birtday gift.

I would like to thank Untie Shara for buying me the yellow car sticker which says "Baby on Board" with the kangaroo picture on it.

Look at me with my dad. He looked handsome with the Malaysia National University (UKM)'s convocation attire. You might realised it is a bit different right? It is actually attire for Doctorate (PhD) holder.

He look even handsome with the certificate and the flower.

Anyway, congratulation to my grandma, Mak Tok on her achievement. Look at the lady stand beside my dad. She's actually the one who received the Doctorate (PhD) achievement. My dad just "berangan besar" (day dreaming). Thehehe ....

I've started collecting the fridge magnet with a Hello Kitty fridge magnet, Mummy got it free when she shopped at Guardian. My very first fridge magnet is Petronas Twin Tower fridge magnet. Daddy bought it for me when we visited the Twin Tower.

I don't have a lot of fridge magnet as compared to my Mum's collection. So I told my Mum and set a rule, her collection will be on the top door of our fridge and mine will be on the bottom. I chose bottom because it has a bigger space.

Collecting fridge magnet can be an addictive hobby. But it is cheap and it simply can store your travel memory. Every time you want to open your refrigerator, you'll catch a glimps of your travel excitement. You'll flashback your memory and smile.

When I look at the fridge, I remember an accident which I knocked my head there because I still learning to balance myself. Of course I cried. What a memory.

There are a few "ownerless" cat around our housing area, but this one is the naughtiest. It always wanted to come in to our house. It'll try everything, jump through our window, main door, over the mosquito net, etc.

Mild Fever

I'm 10 months and 1 day old today. And I celebrated my "birthday" with a fever. It was started since last night. My mom gave me a medicine and turned the Aircond all night. My condition getting worse during the day.

My mum drove me to the clinic eventhough I insisted to drive. Well, at last I agreed with her. I don't have a driving license.

But, as soon as I was in the car and gripped the steering wheel, my fever almost vanished! When we were in the clinic, the nurse said that that I was caught with a mild fever. No worry. My fever almost gone when I was in Alamanda. And the great is, Mummy bought me a new toy!

My mum puzzled and definitely she just realised something. My sympthom was like her's. There was no medical answer for this. We both enjoy window shopping!

A Minute of Fame - 2 - Backstage

My mum participated in Jelita's Charity Marathon with Mak Cik Nisa, Mak Teh, My Grandma and Nenek Fatimah. My mum was in Women Open Category. Mak Cik Nisa and was my Mak Teh in Women Junior. My Grandma and Nenek Fatimah both 56 and 55 years old, so they were in Women Senior.

We were at Dataran Merdeka since dawn.

I looked at Nenek Fatimah pin-on the number on her shirt.

Makcik Nisa, Mummy and Mak Teh were ready to compete with international runner. Well .. they were definitely prepared. Plus my moral support ... you can do it!

A masculine guy from FitnessFist lead the warm-up session before the marathon began.

While waiting for my mum in finishing line, I wandered around with Daddy, Pak Lang and Makcik Halimah. A lot of free food I grapped. Not to mention the free cap and apron from Petronas Gas. Makcik Hamidah and Pak Lang kept filling the feedback form distributed by the organizer, just to collect cap and apron.

A glimpse of thought, here I was at one of the historical place in Malaysia. I just 7 months ... and this place recorded a million of memories and events. I inhaled the air deeply and said in my heart, "Took nothing but photograph and left nothing but a stroller printed on the grass". I'll come back here on day and give a speech infront there as a successful man!

One of my mum's resolution after giving a birth was to join a marathon before the baby is one year old. And her wish was came true on April 30, 2006. Jelita organized a half marathon in conjuction with Jelita's 30th birthday. At that time I was 7 months.

Queen Size Bed For Sale

Well, after that horrible incident, he declared a war to his bed. My dad immediately disassemble his bed. With the help from Pak Tam, it was done within 30 min.

He told my mom he wanted to sell the bed. He started SMS a few people to inform about it. Anyone interested to buy Homelife queen size bed? It is still in a very good condition. White color with Oak style finishing. He told me if he couldn't find the buyer within this week, he'll auction it in eBay.

Fell From Bed

What a horrible day. Yesterday I fell from my parent's bed. My parent was so furious.

On that day, I was sleeping with my mom and my dad. When I woke up, they still sleeping. As usuall I quickly get bored. Then I just crawl to the edge of the bed. I thought I can play with the torchlight which daddy showed to me the other day. Or play with the bed lamp plugged in the electric socket.

Unfortunately, I missed calculation of the bed. I was slipped and the rest was a history. My parents was so furious, my mom even cried. She said, "I told you already! Don't play around when people is not with you".

You can see my nose, getting flatten. And as a result, my mom grounded me in the baby cot. I can only play inside it. But I know it is only for a while coz I know the trick. I just give my mom a big smile, then she will forget of what I've done.

My Favourite Playground

I'm very happy to crawl here and there. Especially the place where my mom not allow me to go. My favourite place is under the dinning table. I can crawl and hide there. I can stop and pick small things and put it in my mouth. I can squeeze in between the chair's leg. Sometimes I stucked, but normally I'll manage to escape. Oh ... what an adventurous place.

New Technique: Backward Crawl

I just learn how to crawl. So I'm quite exited to explore my new skill. The best part is I can reach more thing and put it in my mouth.

Unfortunately, currently I only master how to push my chest. And the movement is backward!!

Trip to Singapore - KLIA 1

The airport was so busy eventought the clock never reached 7am. Some of them were sleeping on the chair, probably since last night. I notice a few of them carry a baby like me.

We checked-in and placed our luggage in the conveyor. Just my stroller and mummy's hand carried bag.

Trip to Singapore - ERL

My mum's cousin was hospitalized due to diabetes. It was a very critical stage. My mum decided to visit her. Mak Teh also joined us. I was very excited to go, since this is my first time to travel by plane.

As early as 6pm all of us was ready to go. Tok papa came to fetch us and sent us to Putrajaya ERL station. Look my great pose with him.

The train to KLIA was approaching the station.

I was sleeping all the way to airport. Mak Teh and my mum look happy ...

I went back to Melaka to celebrate Hari Raya. The environment was full of joy. Children played with friends. Men and Women prepared the dishes. Teen watched special TV program. And I ... slept all the night as usual.

My Dad Outstation

My dad went to London this week for British Invention Show to exhibit his company's product. I got a mix of feeling, happy because I can sleep with Mummy on the big bed not in my baby cot. Yahooo ... But a bit sad coz Daddy always play with me, especially in the morning while Mummy still sleeping, he is the one that be a good listener of my morning baby talk. He is the one who bath me in the morning too. But I'm very proud of him, coz he got a big opportunity to showcase the product overseas.

Always when my dad went for outstation job, Mak Teh will drive my mom and me to nursery, when to mom's office, etc. And as usuall, she always unlucky. My dad's car always gave her a terrible experience. Last time, when my dad when to Ipoh for a couple of days, the car was out of fuel. She's the one who drove it. This time the car completely stop on her way back to office after sent my mom and me back from nursery. She was panic. At last, she called mechanic to tow the car to workshop. So pitty of her.

Is it because of the car or because of women's driver?

Dring Milk Using Bootle

My parent will send me to nursery in Putrajaya soon during office hour. So my dad started to let me drink milk using bootle. At first I can' t drink at all. I just play with my mouth or pretend to sleep (hehehe ...). At last, I will cry as loud as I can if my Dad gave me milk in the bootle. It taste suck!! Yaackk!! ...

At last, my parent gave up to feed me using bootle. They just sent me to nursery and my mom will come twice a day to give me milk. I'll fight for my right! Yeaahh ...

Mummy's Birthday

Earlier of this week was Mummy's Birthday. We only celebrate it that weekend so other people can join too. I think Daddy wanted to make a supprise to mummy. He planned with uncle Faiz, Cik Nisa and Pak su Zahi to order a cake. It was from Secret Recipe! He was so happy, he keep smilling and intertain the guest. Not so many people came, only my uncle and untie.

Mak Long and Pak Long help to cut and distribute the cake while Kakak Eiman was looking.

Blood Test

My mom received a call from Putrajaya Hospital hospital the other day and asked her to bring me to the hospital. The nurse said, they haven't take my blood for a test.

This is my second trip to hospital and really excited, but a bit thrill. Mummy dress me up with a big shoe with a bear head on it. Very cute like me.

I was sleeping all the way to hospital coz the ride make me sleepy.

This is the room in Putrajaya hospital where my blood was collected. It was soooo cold and scary.

When the nurse took my blood, I cried so loud. My face turn red. My mom put her finger inside my mouth to ease me. I just suck it. Fear is not a factor!

Visit Daddy's Office

Our close family member like Pak Long and Mak Long always visit us during the weekend. Pak Long will come and prepare a delicious food for Mummy. I can't wait to grow up and play with Abg Jouqin and Kakak Eiman.

My dad's friend, Saiful and family came and visited us.

My Mum's friend, Untie Fatin visited us with Uncle Fahmi's family. Untie Fatin is studying music (master and doctorate) in Germany under USM scholarship. She's on holiday for 3 months. Mummy said, she will send me to Untie fatin to learn music when I grow up and play with Kakak Farah. I learn a bit Germany from her like, dunkenshe!

My Skin Peel Off

In the early days after I came back from hospital, my skin still peel off. Doctor said it is normal and happen to some of the baby, especially those who over the due date.

Mummy said, she was too much watching Akademi Fantasia when I was in her stomach. Even I got less hair like brother Mawi World! See, I event holding a mic pretending to sing Oh Saleha song.

Out from Hospital

I was given permission by doctor to go back to my parent house for the first time.

My Mak Tok carried me out from the hospital.

Pak Su Zahi took our picture in the car ... you can see the reflection of the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysia's National Flag) too ... I was so honoured.

A Ritual to Dispose Placenta - Malay Tradition

Nurse gave the placenta to my Dad, wrapped in a light blue hospital paper. He went back and left me and Mum in hospital to take a rest. At that time just nearly Subuh time. Daddy can't event take a sleep coz he's too excited and two because after Subuh, people starts called him and asked about my Mum & my conditions.

Well, Daddy said he's better clean the placenta as soon as possible since he can't sleep. He took the placenta's picture because some of his friend who delivered a baby said that they never have a chance to have a look of their placenta. Coz normally their hubby will clean and dispose it. My dad took the placenta so my Mum can see it later.

This is the back side of the placenta where it was attached to my Mum's stomach. It is dark full of blood vessel to transport oxygen and food to me. I was supposed due 5 days before. My Mum said the placenta will be getting ineffecient if it is over the due date. So it wouldn't effectively transport the required oxygen and nutrient to the baby. It mean a bit risky to bare a baby longer than the due date expected by doctors. But there are still about 10 days after due date that normally given by doctor before they force the baby to come out using medication.

This is the front view of the placenta. You can see the umbilical cord that attach to my belly button. This is where the doctor took my cord blood and stem cell. My dad tried to clean it a few time but still got a lot of blood. Well, it is full of blood vessel what, you never clean it till white.

The ritual begin with my Untie preparing a piece of white cloth to wrap the placenta.

Next my Tok Papa prepared an onion, sallots, salt and sugar. You can see budu (fermanted fish) next to it right. It was not in the list ok. Thehehe .. heheh (baby laugh)

Next my dad get turmeric and 'lengkuas' a type of ginger family.

My dad get the 'lengkuas'. My granpa plant this at the back of his house.

My uncle clean it up. Look at him bald and dark skin. He just joined Navy Academy under MCIS programme.

When everything were prepared. Then it's ready in the copping board.

Then everything will be put on the white cloth. If you notice there were a nail, paper and pencil. I don't know the rational behind it. But I just believed it just a tradition and nothing to do with Islam.

When it's all done, then my granpa put in the hole which he dig at the back of his house. He read some Quran versus and pray.

Then, he fill the hole with soil.

My Dad just help my granpa in the final stage, put a vase on top of the site.

When all done. My dad throw away all the mess. (This picture was sent to Ministry of Health for "Kebersihan Amalan Kita" competition). Thehehe .. (baby laugh).

In the Ward

I was transferred to ward after doctor clean up the mess that I did. Mummy look so tired. Daddy bought Mum a Milo as suggested by nurse. I just doesn't bother what's goin on, I just to take a nap.

I'm Out!

I came out and in a few second I cried. My dad got a chance to snap my pic when there were nurses and doctor. But all of them was busy to clean me up. So, no one got a chance to prevent my dad to snap a pic. Doctor took cord blood from my umbilingual and store it in the bottle which daddy brought. Later the representative from Cryo Cord collect it and store it in the nitrogen storage. My Mum and Dad registered me with Cryo Cord to store my cord blood and sterm cell.

The blue box is a heater where I was dried up after nurse cleaned me up. You can see my cloth and nappies in the blanket on top of the blue box.

This is the picture of the whole setup of the heater. It is quite hot under that you know.

Labor Room

Mummy show her thumb up. A thrill experience in the labor room. An oxygen attached to her nose. A relief gas cap at her side. Some wire attached to her stomach to monitor my heart beat.

Hospital Tag which Mummy wear in the hospital.

Mummy vomitted all her dinner food. She's quite weak after thrown out. The whole labor room smell 'daging masak pedas'.

Entenox gas where the end of the noozle got a nose cap so mummy can inhale it to relief the contraction pain.

The machine that show my heart beat while I'm still sleeping in Mummy's stomach.

At the end of the noozle this is the nose cap look like. Daddy was busy snapping a picture here and there while Mummy was in pain. So pitty of her.

Putrajaya Hospital

Supprisingly, when Mummy enter labor room of Putrajaya Hospital, it was already 9cm!! (hope you know what I mean. For an infant to be able to go out from Mum's stomach, the opening window for the baby is about 10cm) Lucky I was not being delivered in the car.
The temperature in the labor room is really cold and my Dad was in trouble. He's kind of fatless skinny guy. So he cannot bare with cold. But he was well equipped with jacket and winter sock. He hide his camera in front pocket. Ready to take my picture when I come out later. One of Mum's friend, Untie Fatin told daddy to bring along the camera, but don't ever ask nurse permission. They wouldn't allow it in the first place.

At that time, my Mum was in pain every single minute. She can only reduce the pain using the gas provided by nurse. What they called the gas is? Something with entonox or else, donno la. There are so many ways for pregnant lady to relief the pain during labor. I'm to small to know that. Anyway, the gas noozle was attached directly to the wall. And my Mum just hold the nose cap and easily inhaled the gas when needed (during pain la).

Mummy can't take the pain anymore, she was vomited and all masak pedas she took for dinner was thrown out. (actually she was not remember whether she was in pain or in disconfort)

Contraction Mania!

Mummy was in pain, at this time it was contraction in every 15 min. But she still don't want to go to hospital yet. She said, "I don't want to be in the hospital too long, I hate being in hospital". My Tok Papa (granpa) already called my dad and scolded him for not sending my mum to hospital. Well, mummy is the Queen. She don't bother one, not event Tok Papa. But I think Tok Papa is right. There are million of uncertainty, especially when this is her first child. (I'm her first child? Oh gosh, I can see there are more responsibility that I must hold in the future).

Then, she watched Korean drama (Full House) to distract her pain. I'm not remember so much which part at that time, but if I'm not mistaken it's CD number 3 or 4. My mum said, the whole set of the drama is about 16 CDs. Well, don't suprise my first word that I can say is Che eerum-un Amer Hafiz imneeda (My name is Amer Hafiz). Thehehehe (baby laugh) ...

My mum is quite proactive and well prepared. She already prepared all of my necessary things and put neatly in the bag. It is include my cloth, pant, diaper, some cotton and a blanket. She's quite worried that my dad is panic and not be able to pack early.

But I think she forgot, my dad is even more proactive than her. He prepared my baby court earlier, 3 weeks before I was delivered! He's so exited!
